Nitrogen8M_Mini SOM

Introducing the Nitrogen8M_Mini SOM, featuring NXP's new i.MX 8M Mini applications processor & PF8121 PMIC, 2GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and 8GB eMMC. Carrier board will be available at launch. [Pre-Production]

Boundary Devices is excited to announce the pre-release of our Nitrogen8M_Mini system on module (SOM) for the general embedded and IoT market. The Nitrogen8M_Mini SOM is the latest in our line of i.MX based Nitrogen platforms, leveraging the soon-to-be released i.MX 8M_Mini family of applications processors from NXP.

Built with i.MX’s industry-leading video capabilities and an emphasis on low power consumption, the i.MX 8M Mini applications processor family is ideal for applications scaling from consumer home audio to industrial building automation and mobile kiosks. The Nitrogen8M_Mini series of SOMs will include a robust set of attribute pin outs, allowing them to be scaled up or down to fit any embedded project.

The Nit8MQ_Mini_SOM_2r8e is designed for development or mass production use with a guaranteed 10 year life span, FCC Pre-scan results, and a stable supply chain.  As with all Boundary Devices products, the Nit8MQ_Mini_SOM_2r8e can be modified to match specs or for cost reduction. In addition, industrial temperature versions will be available.
