Embedded single board computer (SBC) featuring the NXP i.MX 7 applications processor, 1GB DDR3 RAM, 4GB eMMC (expandable to 64GB), and the BD-SDMAC 802.11ac + BT4.1 module. An Accessory Kit option is also available (Nitrogen7).
The Nitrogen7 is a multi-purpose single board computer (SBC) based on the i.MX7 processor from NXP. It features the NXP i.MX 7 Dual-Core application processor, 1GB DDR3 RAM, 4GB eMMC (expandable to 64GB), the BD-SDMAC 802.11ac + BT4.1 module, and Accessory Kit option.
The Nitrogen7 also features the pre-certified BD-SDMAC WiFi+BT module, an 802.11 ac + BT4.1 module based on the QCA9377.
The i.MX7 processor from NXP has ARM Cortex™-A7 and ARM Cortex™-M4 cores which provide unique features to the i.MX family. The i.MX 7 series was the first device in the market utilizing both the ARM® Cortex®-A7 and Cortex-M4 cores for general purpose programmable processing. The Nitrogen7 was designed take advantage of the key features of the i.MX7 processor including power efficiency with a PFUSE PMIC and the M4 core. Boundary Devices has a variety of accessories including a 7″ display with touch screen for QT demo.
The Nitrogen7 is designed for mass production use with a guaranteed 10 year life span, FCC Pre-scan results, and a stable supply chain. As with all Boundary Devices products, the Nitrogen7 can be modified by de-populating unused components for cost reduction. In addition, industrial temperature versions as well as conformal coating options are available.
