The Nitrogen6_VM is an embedded i.MX6 single board computer based on the i.MX6 Solo processor from NXP/Freescale. The i.MX6 series of applications processors combines scalable platforms with broad levels of integration and power-efficient processing capabilities particularly suited to multimedia applications. The i.MX6 Solo processor features enhanced capabilities of high-tier portable applications by fulfilling MIPS needs of operations systems and games, multilevel memory system, low power consumption, dynamic voltage and frequency scaling, powerful graphics acceleration, interface flexibility, and integrated power management throughout the device.

The Nitrogen6_VM was designed specifically to interface to a 6.2″ KOE display which is ideal for the Player Tracking Industry. The board features multiple UARTs to interface SAS as well as a GPIO connector to interface to standard card readers. Optional FRAM can be populated to allow non-volatile storage with very high endurance. On-board eMMC provides high speed and high performance NAND flash storage. As with all Boundary Devices products, the Nitrogen6_VM can be de-populated for cost reduction. Contact us for more information.
