Featuring the powerful 800MHz IMX51 multimedia processor from Freescale and up to 512MB DDR2 memory, the Nitrogen-VM is well-suited for demanding high resolution video playback. The IMX51 processor support a multi-format 720P video decoder and D1 video encoder for high end multimedia applications. In addition to the 6.2″ display, the Nitrogen-VM has a HDMI output to provide even more display connectivity options for digital signage applications. The board has dual display support which can be used to drive the 6.2” and an HDMI display simultaneously. Integrated 4 or 5 wire touch screen support provides a convenient user-interaction mechanism. The Nitrogen-VM has numerous connectivity options such as I2C, USB high speed, SD Card, 10/100 Ethernet and multiple RS232 ports.
