Position Openings

Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

The Quality Assurance Specialist will take the primary responsibility for all quality processes at Boundary Devices. The internal quality process of boards manufactured by our CMs and BD production as well as RMA quality process from our customers. This position will serve as the point of contact for all quality corrective action requests by our customers.
The specialist will perform thorough quality inspection of returned product, carefully document issues, keep accurate records, and communicate to concerned parties in a timely fashion. The position will oversee company-wide quality
metrics and working with management to ensure quality objectives are being met.

Essential Functions/Skills and Responsibilities

  • Take the primary responsibility for the RMA quality system
  • Check quality records associated with the RMA quality system to assure accuracy and conformance with the approved format and standards
  • Maintain control and ready access of quality and archived record files
  • Periodically audit quality records to assure continuing compliance and that the appropriate procedures have been followed
  • Perform ongoing review and analysis to support RMA process improvements.
  • Prepare ongoing RMA reports, analyze data and report trends for management review, and develop solutions to quality and other departments
    as needed
  • Communicate effectively with, customers, and suppliers on quality-related issues working toward resolutions that are satisfactory to all involved parties
  • Develop improved techniques and tools for return process in addition to assessment, validation, and implementation of such strategies and technologies
  • Comply with all applicable regulatory requirements
  • Train internal teams if necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree in equivalent field of study
  • 3-5 years of quality systems experience in the hardware manufacturing industry
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written (including technical writing) communication skills with strong attention to detail is required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word) and ERP systems
  • Proficient in time management, multitasking, and organizational skills

Job Title: Rework Technician

Reports to: RMA Engineer

Schedule: Monday-Friday Day Shift

Summary: The Rework Technician assists the RMA Engineer in managing RMAs and conducting BGA rework

Essential Job Functions

  • Supports the RMA Engineer in troubleshooting and analyzing customer RMAs
  • Collaborates with interdepartmental engineers to resolve RMA’s
  • Performs BGA rework
  • Communicates status and schedule with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Collects and analyzes data, identifies trends in customer returns
  • Experience and Qualifications
  • Experiencing specifically performing rework on BGA parts
  • Excellent at Soldering
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English

Position Title: SMT Operator

Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Schedule: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM Mon-Fri

Pay Range: $18.00-$28.00 per hour

Experience with Hanwha Solder Paste Printer and Hanwha Decan S1 Pick & Place Machine, and Heller Reflow Oven Highly Desired

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate and maintain SMT machine
  • Performing preventive maintenance and general housekeeping
  • Verify and inspect parts for defects and non-conformances, quality control/assurance
  • Meet daily production quantity and quality requirements
  • Provide support to other departments/personnel as needed
  • Troubleshoot equipment in an effective and efficient manner as per work instructions
  • Perform other duties as needed

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Vocational/technical certificate/coursework with electronics preferred
  • Experience with SMT required

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, read, write and speaking
  • Quick-learner, able to work independently
  • “Go getter” personality

Physical Requirements

  • This position may require you to stand for up to 90% of the day, and requires you to be able to push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Job Title: SMT Helper

Reports To: Director of Operations

Schedule: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM Monday-Friday

Pay Rate: $16-$22/hr

Summary Responsible for assisting the SMT Technician and QC Inspector processing PCBA’s through the SMT Process

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist the SMT Technician in setting up, operating and maintaining the SMT Machine
  • Performing preventive maintenance and general housekeeping
  • Verify and inspect parts for defects and non-conformances, quality control/assurance
  • Collaborate with SMT Team to meet daily production quantity and quality requirements
  • Provide support to other departments/personnel as needed
  • Assist QC Inspector in performing First Article and Final Inspection
  • Support manufacturing team in completing required documentation
  • Provide sufficient back-up support for QC Inspector and SMT Technician as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma Required
  • 1 years experience with SMT/PCBA’s (rework specifically)
