Introducing the BD-2004 Access Control System. This device can be used to access facilities by means of bar coded or magnetic card media. Two modes of operation exist: real-time or offline. In the real-time mode, an individual scans a barcode or magnetic card and the BD-2004 validates the card through a server. The server could be a host PC or a web server. If the card is determined to be valid, then the device will unlock the door or gate. In the offline mode, the BD-2004 will compare the information with previously entered data and if a match exists, it will unlock the door or gate. Two versions of the BD-2004 exist: wired and wireless. The wired version interfaces to 10/100 Ethernet or RS-232. The wireless version comes with an 802.11B wireless radio. The device operates from 10 to 24 volts dc at approximately 20 W. |
